The background on this card is layer after layer of techniques, starting with a distressed hand inked layer of red and ivory colors then the background was hand stenciled with a starry night pattern utilizing distress oxide pumice stone grey and speckle egg blue. Over this the image of the holiday light post was hand stamped using the overlay technique in tuxedo black. The image was then hand colored with distress oxides utilizing the water color technique and hand stamped again for a more vibrant finish. Finally the sentiment has been double stamped with tuxedo black and permanent ink for a crisper look. Over the background a three layer banner that has been die cut out of vintage cardstock, distressed burlap and rich velvet ribbon offers the perfect placing for a hand painted resin holly.
